Aggies topple Wildcats, 20-2, in non-conference action

Box Score COLLEGE STATION – Texas A&M scored six runs in the fourth inning and seven more in the seventh inning Wednesday as the Aggies dealt ACU a 20-2 loss in non-conference college baseball action at Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park.

The loss drops the Wildcats to 12-21 on the season, while the Aggies improve to 23-15. ACU will be back in action Thursday at 6 p.m. when it hosts Stephen F. Austin in the first of a three-game Southland Conference series at Crutcher Scott Field. The second game of the series will be played at 2 p.m. Friday with the series wrapping up at 1 p.m. Saturday.

 Texas A&M designated hitter Logan Nottebrok was 3 for 4 with four RBI, including a two-run home run in the fifth inning. Logan Taylor was 3 for 7 with three RBI and Ryne Birk was 4 for 5 with three RBI, including a home run in the third inning.

For the Wildcats, Seth Spivey was 2 for 4, while Brandon Grudzielanek was 1 for 5 with an RBI. Emil Litterer drove in the Wildcats' other run with an RBI double.

Ladgie Zotyka took the loss, throwing 12/3 innings and giving up six hits and four runs (only one earned) in his first start of the season.
