OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – The ACU women's tennis squad will play for their fourth consecutive Lone Star Conference Championship after blowing through Southeastern Oklahoma, 5-0 and shutting out Cameron in the Semifinals also, 5-0 on Friday at the Oklahoma City Tennis Center.
ACU won their 20th game to improve to 20-7 on the year and advance to face Midwestern State on Saturday. The two teams met in late March with ACU taking the match 7-2 in Wichita Falls.
The Wildcats were able to pick up both wins without finishing the four singles matches. Taking three an early 3-0 lead running away with doubles. ACU would then pick up the two wins needed by an easy margin to knock off the 8th seeded Savage Storm.
In the late match ACU had a little closer battle in doubles action, but still entered singles play up 3-0.
ACU and the Midwestern State will lock up on Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. as action starts from the Oklahoma City Tennis Center.
