LAWTON, Okla. -- The ACU women's tennis team had no trouble in its final regular-season match of the season, coasting to a 9-0 win over Cameron at the CU Tennis Complex.
The win pushes the Wildcats to 22-7 on the season as they won another Lone Star Conference regular-season championship. ACU finished 7-0 against LSC opponents, losing only four of a possible 63 matches. ACU's next action will come next weekend when it plays in the LSC Championship Tournament in Oklahoma City.
The Wildcats wasted little time pouncing on the Aggies, winning all three doubles matches in easy fashion by the scores of 8-4, 8-1 and 8-2.
The biggest win of the match came at No. 1 singles where ACU's
Julia Mongin -- ranked No. 4 in the region in singles -- knocked of the region's top-ranked singles player, Amanda Moberg, 6-2, 6-2. At last fall's ITA Regional, Moberg knocked off Mongin with a 7-6 win in the third set.
