Wildcats win sixth straight


HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. -- The 25th-ranked ACU Wildcats cruised to their sixth straight win Thursday afternoon with an 8-1 win over Northern Kentucky in non-conference men's tennis action at the Yeager Tennis Complex.

The Wildcats wrapped up their Spring Break trip with three wins to push their overall record to 8-5 on the season.  With the loss, Northern Kentucky falls to 3-4.  ACU is off until next Wednesday when it hosts Northwest Missouri State at 4 p.m. at the Eager Tennis Center on the ACU campus.

The Wildcats were never threatened in Thursday's match as they jumped out to a 3-0 lead after doubles play with all three wins coming in blowout fashion.  ACU then won five of six doubles matches to take the match.
