No. 7 NSU Runs Away From ACU

TAHLEQUAH, Okla. – The 7th-ranked Northeastern State Riverhawks were too much for ACU Saturday night as they ran away with a 60-44 victory in Lone Star Conference Crossover action at Dobbins Field House.
The Wildcats shot only 28% from the field and only had one player in double figures as they fell to 1-6 on the season. NSU stayed perfect at 6-0 as they were led by Cristy Nitz and Jasmine Webb who each had 14 points respectively.
Neither team shot the ball well as NSU led by 10 at the half, 31-21. ACU on converted on seven shot from the field including one three pointer coming from freshman Mack Lankford. Lankford finished with seven points.
Kelsey Smith led the Wildcats with 11 points and added seven rebounds also a team high.
ACU continues their road swing through Oklahoma with an LSC crossover contest at Central Oklahoma on Monday. Tipoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. in Edmond.
