Wildcats Sweep Bronchos, 3-0

ABILENE – Kalynne Allen and Neely Borger were solid for No. 21 ACU as they defeated Central Oklahoma in three sets Thursday night inside Moody Coliseum. The Wildcats stay perfect in the Lone Star Conference at 5-0, 15-3 overall while UCO falls to 14-6 and 4-2.
ACU held the UCO to .069 hitting percentage while Shawna Hines recorded six blocks, followed by a trio of Wildcats with three. Jennie Hutt along with Borger and Allen teamed up on several occasions for the Wildcats holding the Bronchos at bay.
The Wildcats had three players with double figure digs as Kelsie Edwards led the way 18 while Hutt added 14. IJ Moronu finished with a double-double her 11th of the season with 12 digs and 38 assists.
UCO barely reached the .100 mark in the second set as the Wildcats held them under in the first and third sets. ACU again out hit their opponent in the match at a .216 clip, as the Wildcats are 13-1 when they do so.
The No. 21 Wildcats continue their home stand on Saturday night as they welcome Southwestern Oklahoma to Moody Coliseum to wrap-up homecoming week. Tipoff against the Bulldogs is set for 7 p.m.
