Wildcats Host UCO and SWOSU

ABILENE – The Wildcats open homecoming weekend with a pair of Lone Star Conference matches with Central Oklahoma and Southwestern Oklahoma. Game time is set for 7 p.m. for both matches inside Moody Coliseum and as always fans are encouraged to wear purple.

ACU (14-3, 4-0 LSC) vs. Central Oklahoma (14-5, 4-1 LSC)
vs. Southwestern Oklahoma (6-13, 1-4 LSC)

LAST TIME OUT
The Wildcats picked up a win on Tuesday night over Angelo State, 3-0 after ACU went 3-1 at the Fall Classic with wins over SBU, UNO and ESU. ?ACU saw their 12 match winning streak snapped by No. 12 Truman State, but not before knocking off No. 11 Emporia State.

HOME SWEET HOME
Inside Moody Coliseum ACU has a 19 game winning streak dating back to Sept.18, 2008. With a win in the Wildcats only home game so far this season they are 21-1 over the last three seasons and will look to extend the streak starting a four game home stand Tuesday.

TOURNAMENT HONORS
Seniors IJ Moronu and Shawna Hines added another honor to an already stellar listof credentials this weekend. The pair was named to the Lady Blues Fall Classic all-Tournament Team after Hines led the Wildcats offensively and defensively with 43kills and 23 blocks over four games. Moronu tallied 148 assists over the weekend asthe Wildcats hit .201 as a team.

RANKED AND FALLING
After a tough weekend for LSC teams the Wildcats made their claim to the top 25knocking off a top 25 foe for the second straight year. The Wildcats win over the Hornets was the first loss in 53 matches to an un-ranked opponent. Last year ACUknocked off No. 19 Pittsburg State at the ACU Volleyball Classic.

GOING THE DISTANCE
With the Wildcats five set loss to Truman State the Wildcats are 1-2 in five setmatches this year. The only other two matches to go five sets were in Colorado toopen the season in a loss to Fort Lewis and a win to close out the tournament vs.Mesa State.

RECORD WATCH
Shawna Hines and EJ Moronu are both climbing ACU's record book for career blockand career assists respectively. Moronu recorded 148 blocks over the weekend givingher 561 on the season and 4,239 for her career. She is just 57 behind BrittneyBinder who is second all-time at ACU with 4,296. For Hines she recorded her 500thblock last weekend and added 23 more this weekend for a season total of 85. Itbrings Hines total to 531 and makes her just 15 blocks shy of recording over 100blocks all four years.
