Carpenter Earns 7th Career win

SAN ANTONIO – Sophomore Alex Carpenter picked up his seventh career win and third win of the fall at the Bruce Williams Memorial Invitational at Dominion Country Club on Tuesday. 
As a team the Wildcats finished runner-up to Central Oklahoma for the second time this season as the two Lone Star Conference teams have battled all fall. The Wildcats shot 870 (+6) with the team low rounds in the second and third, but couldn't overcome the 12 shot deficit from the first round. 
Carpenter finished with a 70 on the final round for a 212 (-4) tying with Central Oklahoma's Colby Shrum for the tournament title. 
Cyril Bouniol finished with the individual low round on Tuesday firing a 67. Bouniol finished with a 215 (-3) just one shot off the two leaders for a third place giving him a top 10 finish in all four tournaments of the fall and three in the top five.
Tyler Sheppard who tied a low second round with a 69 came back on Tuesday to shoot a 72 finishing +5 for a 12th place finish. Trey Sullivan also posted low numbers on the final round tying Bouniol with his own 67 finishing with a 227 +11 for a 25th finish.
Rounding out the Wildcat scoring was Drew Norris who shot a final round 77 and finished in 41st. 
The Wildcats will finish their fall schedule next week in Florida at the Queens Invitational hosted by Queens University. Hosted at famous TPC Sawgrass where they will take aim at Dye's Valley Course.
