Biography
Spring 2010: After one top 10 finish at the UCO/Kickingbird Classic with his best round of the spring, 68 … Sheppard’s outstanding season earned him honorable mention all-LSC honors … at top 30 finish at the Lone Star Conference Championships helped Sheppard and the Wildcats to their first title since 1995 … he had an average score of 74 through 11 tournaments … he finished the season with a national rating of 32 … Sheppard also had a solid summer earning a spot in the U.S. Amateur Championships where made the cut to the round of 32 entering match play, after winning his first match play but fell in the second round to Division I Joseph Bramlett from Stanford
Fall 2009: Sheppard had three finishes of 20 or better including his best finish 16th at the Territory Classic. Shot a low round for the fall of 70 at the Charles Coody West Texas Intercollegiate tournament. He had an average score of 73 and earned a National Rating of 129 by golfstat.com.
Midland College: Tyler recorded six top 10 finishes three of which were in the top 5. Helped Midland College to a team National Title as a freshmen in 2008 and a third place finish in 2009. He was named All-Conference and also named to the NJCAA Academic All-America team.
High School: As a prep Sheppard was a two time All-District selection. He helped Midland Lee to four consecutive District titles for head coach Bobby Dunn.
