ABILENE -- ACU football fans who are interested in getting to Maryville, Mo., for Saturday's second-round NCAA Division II playoff game against Northwest Missouri State can get there by purchasing a ticket on the charter jet taking the Wildcats to Missouri.
The flight will leave Abilene Regional Airport at 5 p.m. Thursday and arrive at Rosencrans Memorial Airport in St. Joseph, Mo., at 6:40 p.m. The return flight will leave St. Joseph, Mo., at 6 p.m. Saturday and arrive in Abilene at 7:45 p.m.
The cost of each round-trip seat is $489, while a one-way ticket is $244.50. The plane the Wildcats will be flying has 162 total seats with about 80 available to the general public. Those seats will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
Those fans who are interested will need to email their full name as it appears on their government-issued ID, body weight, gender, date of birth and the number and weight of the bags they will be taking. Fans can email that information to ACU assistant athletics director Nate Davis at nate.davis@acu.edu by noon Tuesday (Nov. 17).
Fans who purchase a ticket on the charter plane are responsible for all of their own travel accommodations once the plane touches down in Missouri. ACU is not responsible for rental cars, lodging, food or game tickets, and it's not responsible for making sure fans make their way back to Rosencrans Memorial Airport by 5 p.m. Saturday to catch the return flight.
ACU will not be making any arrangements for anyone on the flight other than the team and designated travel party members and selected team affiliates.
