Jones adds Missouri all-stater

Four-time all-state pick, Brown, signs with Wildcats

ABILENE - ACU head coach Hutton Jones announced Wednesday that he has signed four-time Missouri all-state tennis player Meagan Brown to a binding national letter-of-intent to play her collegiate tennis at ACU beginning in fall 2004.

Brown is a four-time Missouri all-state player at Kickapoo High School in Springfield, Mo. She finished third at the state tennis tournament this fall after finishing fourth at the state tournament as both a sophomore and junior.

Brown, who has been the No. 1 player on her high school team all four seasons, has a four-year career record of 80-15 and has been ranked as high as No. 3 in the Missouri Valley by the United States Tennis Association (USTA).
