Biography

Returns for her sophomore season at ACU and is expected to provide solid defense for the Wildcats as a utility player.  2007 (Freshman):  Made 26 appearances for the Wildcats with six starts.  Finished with a .118 batting average (in just 17 plate appearances).  Scored four runs and drove in two runs. High School:  Sawyers was a three-year letterwinner for head coach J.J. Johnson at Lubbock Coronado.   She was a second team Class 5A all-state selection her senior year after batting .426.   Sawyers also was voted to the academic all-state team in 2006.  As a junior, Sawyers was a second team all-district selection.  Personal:  Born 25 Dec 1987. 2006 graduate of Coronado High School.
