Enters the season as the starter at free safety for the fourth straight season. He is the Wildcats’ only four-year starter this season.
2008 (Junior): Harp finished sixth on the team in tackles with 53 (35 solo) and had 4.5 tackles for loss (minus-18 yards in losses) and 1.0 sacks (minus-9 yards in losses). He also had one interception, four pass breakups, five passes defended, two quarterback hurries and one forced fumble. Harp had a season-high nine tackles (five solo) in ACU’s Sept. 20 win at Southeastern Oklahoma State and had a combined 15 tackles (nine solo) in ACU’s two playoff games. He was voted first team all-Lone Star Conference South Division for his performance in 2009.
2007 (Sophomore): Started all 13 games for the Wildcats at free safety, finishing second on the club in tackles (92) and first with five interceptions. Harp had three double-digit tackle games with a season-best 16 (11 solo) against West Texas A&M on Oct. 20. He had 10 tackles against Central Oklahoma in the season-opener (Sept. 1) and 10 tackles against Chadron State in the season-finale (Nov. 24). He also had a career-best two interceptions in the Wildcats’ wild 76-73 triple-OT loss to Chadron State in the NCAA Division II playoffs. He had six solo tackles (one-half tackle for a loss) and one pass breakup in the loss to Chadron State. He was voted honorable mention
2006 (Freshman): Harp was voted the Lone Star Conference South Division Freshman of the Year after finishing the season with 27 tackles (19 solo) and one interception as a backup. He helped extend the ACU defense’s early season shutout streak to eight straight quarters on Sept. 30 when he intercepted a late second-quarter pass in the end zone against Eastern New Mexico.
High school: Three-year letterman at Judson HS, helping lead the Rockets to a 29-10 three-season record. As a senior he was a first team Class 5A all-state selection and was first team all-district and first team all-city by the San Antonio Express-News. He was also the Express-News’ choice as the city’s defensive MVP after collecting 174 tackles, five interceptions, forcing a pair of fumbles and blocking three field goals. He was also the San Antonio Quarterback Club Defensive MVP after helping the Rockets finish 10-5 and as the runners-up to Euless Trinity in Class 5A Division I. He was first team all-district, first team all-city and honorable mention all-state as a junior (130 tackles, five interceptions).
