High school:  Four-year letterwinner who played both quarterback and linebacker.  As a senior in 2008 he rushed for 748 yards and 10 TDs while throwing for 1,501 yards and 13 touchdowns.  As a junior in 2007, he ran for 772 yards and 12 TDs while throwing for 1,237 yards and 10 TDs.  He was the team’s second-leading tackler in 2006, 2007 and 2008.  As a senior he was the District 25-4A Offensive MVP, team captain and team MVP.  As a junior he was the first team all-District 25-4A quarterback, team captain and team MVP.  As a sophomore in 2006 he was a second team all-district linebacker.  Four-year letterwinner in baseball who was first team all-district player in 2007 and 2008.  First team academic all-state and four-time academic all-district in both football and baseball.  His father, Cord Woerner, played football at Howard Payne University.  He played in high school for head coach Cord Woerner.
