2010 (Junior): Played in 11 of 12 games with 6 starts in secondary for Wildcats. Turned in 38 tackles (17 solo) with 1.5 tackles for loss (-2) and 1 pass breakup. Top games were 9 tackles in road win at A&M-Kingsville and 7 tackles in season-opening road win at Washburn. Lone PBU came in key road win at West Texas A&M.

2009 (Sophomore): Played in 11 of 13 games for NCAA playoff team with 21 total tackles (7 solo). Also had 0.5 tackle for loss, 4 pass breakups and 4 QB hurries. Turned in 6-tackle game vs. Fort Lewis College.

2008 (Freshman): Played in 12 games with one start (Nov. 1 vs. Texas A&M-Kingsville), finishing with 50 tackles (29 solo). He also had 1 fumble return and 2 pass breakups. The fumble return was a fumble recovery in the end zone in ACU’s 66-7 win over East Central, giving Havins his first career touchdown.

2007 (Freshman): Redshirt.

High school: Havins was one of the top defensive backs in Central Texas, earning first team all-Centex honors by the Austin American-Statesman as both a junior and senior. Havins was a two-year first team all-district selection as a free safety at Westwood HS. He was also an all-state selection, two-year team captain and two-year all-region player. As a senior in 2006 he had 150 tackles, 3 interceptions, 2 forced fumbles and 1 fumble recovery. As a junior he finished with 170 tackles, 3 interceptions and 2 forced fumbles, while as a sophomore he had 70 tackles, 1 interception and 1 forced fumble.
