2009 (Vanderbilt sophomore): Saw limited playing time at tackle and guard for the Commodores.

2008 (Vanderbilt freshman): Redshirt.

High School: Standout lineman for one of Texas' top private school powers. Started three years for Panthers, helping team to consecutive TAPPS 6A state championships in 2006 and 2007. As sophomore, started at DE. Became offensive starter at RT as junior. In 2007 consistently team's top blocker while earning TAPPS first team all-state honors. Squad captured state title as senior with 11-2 overall record. 2006 team went undefeated at 13-0 en route to state championship. Named first team TAPPS all-district as junior and senior. Competed in shot put in track and field. National Honor Society member.
