High School: All-state lineman for head coach Boyd Brigman. Recorded 51 tackles and 5 sacks as a senior. Received invitation to TAPPS all-star game. Was also named first team all-district offensive and defensive lineman. Was named all-Brazos Valley lineman. Also two-time TAPPS state champion in baseball as sophomore and junior. Was twice named TAPPS all-state pitcher.
