Blinn College (2009, 2010): Played at Blinn in 2009 and 2010 and was on the 2009 team that won the national championship, quarterbacked by Heisman Trophy winner and current Carolina Panther quarterback Cam Newton. Langthorp was a second team all-conference selection as a sophomore.

High school: At Oak Ridge HS in Conroe, he was a second team all-district selection and honorable mention academic all-state.
