Harrell enjoyed a strong spring and will enter summer camp in a battle with Zach Stewart for the starting job in 2009. 

2008 (Sophomore):  Played in two games for the Wildcats, but did not attempt a pass against either East Central (Oct. 4) or West Texas A&M (Oct. 18). 

2006-07 (Tulsa):  Sat out the 2006 season as a redshirt year and then played in two games last season, but did not complete a pass.  He did, however, rush for 10 yards on two carries.  In the spring game in May he completed 10 of 13 passes for 166 yards and two touchdowns before deciding to transfer.  High school:  Was the starter at Class 4A Ennis HS his senior season, leading his team to an 11-2 record and the region championship game.  He completed 323 of 464 passes for 3,924 yards and 39 touchdowns as a senior, leading Class 4A in passing.  He was named the District 14-4A?MVP and earned first team all-district honors.  He was injured in the first game of his junior season and missed the entire year. 

Personal:  Engaged to ACU women's soccer standout Jordan Reese.  His father (and high school coach) is ACU?graduate Sam Harrell, and his brother is former record-setting Texas Tech quarterback Graham Harrell.  Born 21 Oct 1987.  2006 graduate of Ennis High School.
