2016 (Sophomore): Started all nine games he played in for the Wildcats. A part of the offensive line that helped ACU finish fourth in the Southland Conference in passing offense (278.5 yards per game), seventh in scoring offense (26.8 points per game) and sixth in total offense (391.6 yards per game).

2015 (Redshirt Freshman): Played in one game at center for the Wildcats, starting at right guard in the team’s season-finale at Northern Colorado on Nov. 21. Melde was part of an offensive line that helped ACU finish second in the Southland Conference in passing offense (245.3 yards per game), seventh in total offense (358.8 ypg) and seventh in scoring offense (24.7 points per game).

2014 (Freshman): Redshirt.

High school: Melde was a three-year letterwinner at New Braunfels Canyon HS. Melde helped lead his team to the playoffs in both 2012 and 2013. He was a second team all-District 25-5A selection after his senior season. Melde was an honorable mention all-district selection as a junior and a second team all-district selection as a junior. Played at Canyon for head coach Matthew Elliott.
