2017 (Sophomore): In his first season as a starter in 2017, Onifade led the Wildcats in solo tackles (52) and total tackles (76) as he and Brandon Richmond teamed to form one of the top safety duos in the Southland Conference. Onifade had three games of double-digit tackles: 17 vs. Colorado State (Sept. 9), 13 vs. Stephen F. Austin (Sept. 23) and 11 vs. Southeastern Louisiana (Oct. 21). He enters his junior seasons with 92 career tackles.
2016 (Redshirt Freshman): Onifade played in 10 games for the Wildcats during the 2016 season. He had 16 tackles (10 solo) and one for a loss of four yards, at Sam Houston State on Oct. 14. At Stephen F. Austin on Sept. 24, he forced a fumble.
2015 (Freshman): Redshirt season.
High school: One of the top defensive backs in the Oklahoma City area in 2014, Onifade was a a first team District 6AI-1 selection as a senior. He finished his senior season with 99 tackles, two sacks and three interceptions. He was also a second team punt return selection on The Daily Oklahoma Big All-City Team. He was also a first team all-district and honorable mention all-state selection. Onifade also wrestled for Putnam City HS. Played for head coach John Wofford at Putnam City HS.
Personal: Son of Tayo Onifade. 2015 graduate of Putnam City High School. Born 09 April 1997.
