2013 (Junior): Appeared in all 11 games with nine starts. Of his 35 tackles, 22 were solo efforts and two went for a loss totaling four yards. Recorded a season-high six tackles in wins over McMurry and Incarnate Word. Returned an interception eight yards vs. Concordia (Ala.) and recorded his second pick two weeks later at home vs. New Mexico Highlands. Credited with a forced fumble vs. Highlands and fumble recoveries against McMurry and Tarleton State. Posted quarterback hurries vs. Incarnate Word and Prairie View A&M and broke up a pass in first meeting with the Cardinals at home.
2012 (Sophomore): Returned to the team after sitting out the 2011 season. Played in the season’s first two games and started vs. Texas A&M-Kingsville. Assisted on one tackle in each game.
2010 (Redshirt freshman): Finished the 2010 season with 10 tackles and one fumble recovery in nine games as a reserve linebacker. Had his best game in the Wildcats’ regular-season finale against Southwestern Oklahoma State (Nov. 13) when he had four tackles.
2009 (Freshman): Redshirt.
High school: Finished the 2008 season with 121 tackles (56 solo), including 17 tackles for loss. Rudd also came up with 5 interceptions. Rudd was the TAPPS 4A District 2 Defensive MVP and an all-district linebacker. He was also an honorable mention all-district running back. Rudd was a two-time first team all-state linebacker, and he was an academic all-state in 2008. Led Dallas Christian High School to a 14-0 record and the state championship in 2008. Played for head coach Mike Wheeler.
