Gibbs could be the Wildcats’ backup tight end in 2009 after sitting out each of the last three seasons. Originally signed with ACU in February 2006, but did not play 2006-08.

High school: Played on the varsity at Abilene HS in 2005, helping the Eagles to an unbeaten regular season and a 12-1 final record. Gibbs was a second team all-District 3-5A selection that season for the Eagles. Gibbs played for head coach Steve Warren.
