2012 (Freshman): Redshirt.

High school: Three-year varsity letterwinner. Wide receiver and cornerback. Team went a combined 21-5 during his final two seasons. Second team all-state DB and WR in 2011. First team all-district DB in 2011. Caught 10 passes for 141 yards during his final season in addition to making 46 tackles with two interceptions and eight pass breakups. Academic All-State. Lettered for two years with basketball team and competed for the track and field team in the triple jump and mile relay.

Personal: Son of Scott and Charlotte Smiley. Father, Scott, and uncle, Jeff, both played football at Midwestern State. 2012 graduate of Fort Worth Christian. Born 03 September 1993.
