2011 (Sophomore): Appeared in all 11 games games during the season as the Wildcats' backup quarterback and holer on PATs and field goals. Completed 2 of 6 passes for 15 yards and one interception. He had one rush for six yards in an Oct. 8 win at Eastern New Mexico and then went 0 for 1 in the Wildcats' Oct. 22 loss at Midwestern State. He saw the most extensive action of his ACU career in the regular-season finale on Nov. 12 when he finished out the Wildcats' 61-16 win over Incarnate Word by rushing once for minus-2 yards and completing 2 of 5 passes (one interception) for 15 yards.

2010 (Freshman): Appeared in 1 game as reserve QB for 11-1 Wildcats in first season of game action. Completed 1 of his 2 passes for 2 yards in 47-7 home win over East Central.

2009 (Freshman): Redshirt.

High school: As a senior in 2008, Baker threw for 2,240 yards and 22 touchdowns and ran for 688 yards and 18 TDs. He was named the San Angelo Standard-Times all-West Texas MVP and was voted honorable mention Associated Press Class 4A all-state. He was also selected first team all-District 4-4A and was a second team academic all-state selection. He also lettered in basketball, baseball and track and field. Baker is a two-time all-district performer in baseball. Played for head coaches Tim Reid and Sterlin Gilbert.
