Maryland:  Redshirt in 2007 for Terrapins, played in 4 games (1 start) as freshman in 2008 and played in all 12 games in 2009 with 16 tackles.  Did not see action in 2010, graduated from University of Maryland in May 2011 as family science major.  Played LB and DE.  Career high 3 tackles in 2009 vs. James Madison.  Had 4 tackles as freshman.

High school:  Played wide receiver, tight end, linebacker and safety with Gatorade Player of the Year honors for the state of Maryland.  All-state and ranked No. 70 as tight end in nation by Scouts, Inc.  All-metro by Washington Post.  Had 89 tackles in 2006 as senior with 2 QB sacks and 2 interceptions.  Also had 22 catches for 450 yards and 11 TDs.  Transfer to McDonough from Penn Hills High School in Pittsburgh, Pa.  Also recruited by Pittsburgh, Florida State and Iowa.
