2010 (Sophomore): Developing into top collegiate tight end with 12 starts for 11-1 LSC title team with another playoff appearance. Had 20 catches for 238 yards and 5 touchdowns. Had 4 catches for 44 yards and TD in key 31-24 road win at Texas A&M-Kingsville. Shutout only once (in season finale at home vs. SW Oklahoma).
2009 (Sophomore): In first collegiate action, caught 11 passes for 124 yards and 1 touchdown. Played in 9 of 13 games for 9-4 NCAA playoff team. Caught 3 passes for 47 yards and TD in season opener against nationally-ranked NW Missouri State. Had 2 catches each vs. SE Oklahoma State and Eastern New Mexico.
High school: Played varsity football at Abilene High School for Eagles in 2005, helping coach Steve Warren’s team to an unbeaten regular season and a 12-1 final record. Gibbs was a second team all-District 3-5A selection.
