Biography

Will compete for a starting spot in the Wildcats’ secondary after transferring to ACU from Nebraska. 

2006-08 (Nebraska):
  Culbert was a versatile performer for the Cornhuskers, playing both defensive back and running back before finally settling into the secondary as a junior in 2008.  Last season he played in seven games with 10 tackles (four solo), helping the Cornhuskers to a 9-4 record and Jan. 1 Konica Minolta Gator Bowl win over Clemson.  As a sophomore in 2007, Culbert started the season as a running back and carried five times for 35 yards and one touchdown in a win over Nevada.  He later moved to linebacker and made eight tackles in the season’s final five games.  As a freshman in 2006, Culbert played in 12 games and finished with 12 total tackles, mostly on special teams.

High school:  Culbert had a standout prep career at Narbonne HS where he amassed more than 4,000 rushing yards and scored 37 touchdowns in his career.  He ran for 1,955 yards and 17 touchdowns as a senior, while adding 10 receptions for 123 yards.
