2008-09 (Junior)
Lambert was a key member shooting 24% from three point range … he led the team in assists with 4.4 per game … was also second for the Wildcats with 1.2 steals per game … Lambert led ACU in rebounds against Eastern New Mexico (1/13/09) … had a season high 10 points vs. Southwestern Oklahoma
2008-09 (Sophomore)
Appeared in 25 games with one start as the Wildcats’ backup point guard, providing valuable minutes (12.5 per game) behind all-conference guard Corwin Ragland. Lambert had a season-best seven points in a one-point loss to Tarleton State on Jan. 29.
2006-07 (Freshman)
Appeared in all 26 games for ACU and started one time. Lambert proved himself to be an effective backup point guard for the Wildcats, averaging 2.2 points, 1.7 assists and 1.5 rebounds per game. Lambert scored a career-best 13 points in the season-ending loss at Texas A&M-Kingsville on Feb. 24. He also had 10 points in a Dec. 14 win over Rhema Bible College. He had a season-best four assists in four different games.
2005-06 (UTEP)
Was a redshirt on a Miners’ team that finished 21-10 overall and 11-3 in Conference USA?on its way to an appearance in the National Invitation Tournament.
High School
One of the top high school players in the Big Country during his high school career, Lambert was a four-year letterman at Merkel High School. As a senior he averaged 18 points and 9 assists per game to help
the Badgers finish 29-5 on the season. He was the district MVP,
all-region and first team all-state that year, and played in the
TABC All-Star Game and the Oil Bowl All-Star Game. His high school game highs were 35 points, 10 assists and 10 steals. As a junior he averaged 16 points, five rebounds, seven assists and four steals on his way to district MVP and second team all-region honors. As a sophomore at Henrietta High School, Lambert was district defensive MVP and second team all-region, averaging 20 points, four rebounds, six assists and four steals. He was the district’s Newcomer of the Year in 2001-02.
Personal
His father is Cody Lambert, former professional saddle bronc and bull rider. He was a champion bull rider and vice president of the Professional Bull Riders, Inc. He created the protective vest that most Professional Bull Riders wear, after seeing the death of his friend, Lane Frost at the Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo in Cheyenne, Wyo., on July 30, 1989. 2005 graduate of Merkel High School.
