Johnson returns to ACU for her senior season and is expected to roam in center field for the Wildcats after earning first-team all-Lone Star Conference South Division honors last season. 2007 (Junior): Started and played in 48 games for the Wildcats. Finished second on the team in batting average (behind Kim Partin’s .366 mark) with a .354 mark. Led ACU in home runs with 13 (even though she batted in the nine spot for most of the season) and slugging percentage with a .748 mark. She also finished third on the team in RBI with 29. Johnson’s most memorable game came in ACU’s second game on Feb. 16 at the Triple Crown Division II Leadoff Classic in Phoenix, Ariz., against Cal-State Dominguez Hills. With ACU trailing Dominguez Hills 3-2 and down to its final strike in the top of the seventh, Johnson hammered a fastball to centerfield for a two-run home run that drove in Nicole Deel in front of her for what turned out to be the game-winning runs. In ACU’s five-game run at the Premier Tournament in Phoenix, Johnson finished with four home runs for the Wildcats. 2005-06 (Hill College): Johnson was a first-team all-conference selection as she patrolled left field for Hill College. She was also voted the team’s top offensive player in 2005 and played in the conference all-star game. High School: Played for head coach Michelle Mayfield at Round Rock High School. In 2002, Johnson helped Round Rock HS win the regional championship. As a junior in 2003, Johnson was a second team all-district performer and was voted the district’s Defensive Player of the Year. She capped off her high school career in 2004 by being voted district MVP, all-Williamson County, all-CenTex, and all-state. Personal: Born 12 August 1986. 2004 graduate of Round Rock High School.
