Will battle for playing time in the Wildcats’ outfield after seeing time there last year. 2007 (Sophomore):_ Catalani played in 38 games with eight starts on the season. His best game of the season came in a March 18 win over Cameron when he finished 3 for 4 with three runs scored and an RBI. His only multi-RBI_game was on March 2 against Southeastern Oklahoma State when he had two RBI. 2006 (Freshman): Hit .333 with two RBI_in 25 games (four starts). Had a career-best three runs scored in a March 4 game against Northeastern State, along with two hits. He had another two-hit game against Texas-Permian Basin on March 21. High school: Four-year letterwinner at San Antonio Christian High School. Catalani led his team to a 24-12 record as a senior in 2004, hitting .470 with 10 doubles, five triples, one home run and 28 stolen bases. Catalani was a four-time first team all-district selection and a first team all-state selection in 2004. He also led his team to district titles in 2002 and 2004 and a regional championship in 2004. He also lettered in basketball and football in high school, earning football offensive MVP honors as a senior in 2003.
