Eight Abilene Christian football players earned Academic All-District honors from College Sports Communicators on Tuesday.
The award recognizes student-athletes who succeed with a minimum 3.50 GPA, and play in at least 90% or start at least 66% of their team's matches. ACU's eight recipients equal the maximum allowed per school.

Colter Lynch has been selected to advance for Academic All-America consideration, which will be voted upon by sports information directors across the nation and announced Jan. 27.
The Wildcats won the United Athletic Conference and reached the second round of the NCAA FCS Playoffs for the second consecutive season.
Below are ACU's eight players who received the CSC Academic All-District honors.
Dallas Dudley - Junior, Wide Receiver (Flower Mound, Texas)
- 3.71 GPA in Liberal Studies major
- Played in all 14 games with 13 starts
- Second on ACU with 47 catches for 494 yards
- Hauled in two touchdown passes
Justin Duff - Graduate Student, Long Snapper (Fairfield, Calif.)
- 4.00 GPA in Healthcare Administration
- Played in all 14 games
Stone Earle - Graduate Student, Quarterback (Ft. Worth, Texas)
- Sports Leadership master's program, 3.92 GPA
- Voted to 12-member UAC All-Academic Team
- Started all 14 games
- Threw for 3,285 yards (6th most in single-season history) and 22 touchdowns
- Also ran for 433 yards and 12 touchdowns (tied for 10th most in single-season)
- Finished with 3,718 all-purpose yards (4th most in single-season)
Colter Lynch - Redshirt Sophomore, Center (Lubbock, Texas)
- Management major, 3.88 GPA
- Started all 14 games
- All-UAC 2nd Team
- Blocked for UAC's third ranked scoring offense
- Overall grade of 84% with 78 knockdown / 2nd level blocks
Jocelyn Malaska - Redshirt Junior, Defensive Back (Bethany, Okla.)
- Communication major, 4.00 GPA
- Played in all 14 games with eight starts
- Recorded 43 tackles, including 30 solo
- Broke up four passes
Hugo Nash - Redshirt Junior, Punter (Melbourne, Australia)
- Management major, 3.63 GPA
- Played in all 14 games
- Finished with an average of 37.8 yards per punt
- Had 16 punts downed inside the opponents' 20 yardline
Brandon Perez - Junior, Kicker (Crandall, Texas)
- Information Systems major, 4.00 GPA
- Voted to 12-member UAC All-Academic Team
- Played in all 14 games
- Made 15-of-19 field goals (79%), the second-most made FG in a single season by an ACU kicker
- Hit game-winning 47-yard walk-off field goal to beat No. 2 Tarleton State on Nov. 1
Javeon Wilcox - Redshirt Sophomore, Defensive Back (Temple, Texas)
- Psychology major, 4.00 GPA
- Played in all 14 games with four starts
- Totaled 34 tackles and forced one fumble
