ABILENE - Abilene Christian men's golf bolstered its lineup for the 2025-26 season with the signing of reigning Sooner Athletic Conference Men's Golfer of the Year Tres Hill, head coach
Tom Shaw announced this summer.
Hill joins the Wildcats following four seasons at Oklahoma City University, where he collected All-American and All-Conference accolades as a junior and senior. He added three career nods to the NAIA PING All-Region Team. Hill is the second-ranked NAIA golfer in the nation, per Clippd, guiding the national runner-up Stars to the top spot in the latest NAIA team rankings.
"We are thrilled to have Tres Hill continue his college career at ACU," Shaw said. "He has already established himself as one of the best players in college golf over the past few years and he should play a big role in our quest for another WAC title in 2026! We're blessed and excited for him to join the squad."
Hill capped his Oklahoma City career with First Team All-American honors from the NAIA and PING as a senior in 2024-25. He was named the SAC Men's Golfer of the Year while being listed as one of five finalists for the NAIA Jack Nicklaus National Player of the Year Award presented by Workday.
The Elk City, Okla. native claimed victory in three consecutive tournaments this past season and was twice named the SAC Oklahoma Ford Dealers Men's Golfer of the Week. Hill totaled seven top-five performances, including a tie for fifth place at the SAC Championship, where he was named to the All-Tournament team.
As a junior, Hill earned Second Team All-American recognition from the NAIA and Third Team All-American distinction from PING. He captured a pair of tournament titles at the Mid-South Classic and the Texas Wesleyan Spring Invitational while placing in the top 10 at three other events, including the SAC Championship. Hill was named the SAC Men's Golfer of the Week after both victories.
Hill opened his college career on a high note by tying for the individual title at his debut tournament in the 2021 U.C. Ferguson Classic. He was named the SAC Men's Golfer of the Week and became the first Star to win their collegiate debut since 2007.
Off the course, Hill picked up Academic All-SAC and Commissioner's Honor Roll accolades to wrap up his senior campaign.
Hill was a Class 4A state champion at Elk City High School as a senior in 2021, where he also competed in basketball.
The Wildcats return to the course in the fall after recording back-to-back top-five finishes at the Western Athletic Conference Championship. Grégoire Hoyeau returns to lead ACU after receiving All-WAC Second Team distinction last season.
