ABILENE — REV Entertainment has officially announced its 2026 College Baseball Series at La Moderna Field in Cleburne, Texas, home of the Cleburne Railroaders. The new tournament will feature the ACU Wildcats along with Creighton, Tarleton State, and Texas State.
The tournament is scheduled to take place February 27–March 1, 2026, with matchups and game times announced later this year.
Abilene Christian has regularly participated in events hosted by REV Entertainment in recent years. The Wildcats have competed in the College Baseball Series at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, for the past three seasons. ACU has been able to play multiple competitive programs including Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and Wichita State. In 2025, REV Entertainment expanded its footprint by adding a midweek game at La Moderna Field featuring ACU and OSU, marking its first hosted event outside of Arlington.
This marks the Wildcats' first-ever matchup against Texas State. The Bobcats ended the 2025 season with an overall record of 27-31 and fell to Troy in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament 2-4.
The Wildcats have not faced Creighton since 2017, when ACU swept the Blue Jays in Abilene. Creighton has been able to make a historical run in the 2025 season, becoming the Big East regular season and title champs, clinching a regional berth.
ACU is more familiar with Tarleton State, having regularly faced the Texans in WAC play. The in-state rivalry has produced several tightly contested matchups, with the Wildcats taking the most recent conference series 2-1.
