The Abilene Christian softball team begins the season's longest stretch of home games with a three-game WAC series versus the Utah Tech Trailblazers on Friday and Saturday.
ACU will play five games at Poly Wells Field in a six-day span. The Wildcats welcome North Texas on next Tuesday, and nationally-ranked Texas Tech on Wednesday. Both nonconference games will begin at 6 p.m.
ACU has only played three of its 32 games at home this season, but won each one with a sweep over Southern Utah on March 14-15. Lina Russo threw a no-hitter in the opening game of the SUU series and was subsequently named WAC Pitcher of the Week for her performance.
