ABILENE - ACU is coming home for the week with one midweek and a three-game series at Crutcher Scott. The Wildcats will be hosting SFA on Wednesday at 6:05 p.m. CT, and on Friday, opening conference play against the top team in the WAC, Grand Canyon.
ACU made their way to Nacogdoches last Wednesday to take on the Lumberjacks on their home turf. The Wildcats were able to dominate on Jaycees Field, taking down SFA 11-2.
Wildcat Grant Watkins led the charge, going 3 for 5, and Ranse Radke went 2 for 4 with three RBIs and two stolen bases. ACU was able to string their 11 total hits together in the third, fifth, and sixth innings, and SFA was not able to keep up.
Chandler Benson was able to have a decent outing, pitching three innings with two strikeouts, and giving up one run. Iain Campa was able to pull the win, pitching three innings and getting a strikeout as well.
This Wednesday's game will be worship night. Worship music will be played throughout the event, incorporating faith into the game experience and creating an uplifting atmosphere. The team's recent mission trip will be highlighted, showcasing their impactful work and experiences. Additionally, a scripture slide will be displayed every half-inning, offering moments of reflection and inspiration for fans.
Chapel credit will be available for students at the game.
ACU Baseball is partnered with Jesus Won Apparel, to help cultivate the ACU experience as our student-athletes help grow their faith, as well as play through Christ.
