CLEBURNE, TX – On Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. (CT), the Abilene Christian Wildcats will take on the Oklahoma State Cowboys in a highly anticipated baseball matchup at the Cleburne Railroaders' La Moderna Field.
This game marks a significant rematch between the two teams, who last faced off on February 21, 2024, at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. In that encounter, the Cowboys emerged victorious with an 8-4 win over the Wildcats.
The Wildcats were able to put up runs early, with Cade McGarrh starting a rally in the second inning. Maddox Miesse and Zandt Payne were key players in helping the Wildcats lead. But it was not enough, The Cowboys could hold off ACU for the rest of the game. OSU was able to gain four more runs, leaving the Wildcats in the dust.
This will be the sixth time that OSU and ACU have matched up. The Wildcats have never been able to solidify a win against The Cowboys.
The upcoming game will be held at the home of the Cleburne Railroaders, a team with a storied history in Texas baseball. Originally founded in 1906, the Railroaders were Texas League champions in their inaugural season. After a long hiatus, the team was revived in 2017 and now competes in the American Association of Professional Baseball, an official Partner League of Major League Baseball.
Tickets for the game can be purchased here. For those unable to make the trip to Cleburne, live stats will be available to follow the duration of the game.
