ACU Blows Past North Alabama, Now 2-0 in UAC Action

The Wildcats (3-3, 2-0) forced the Lions into three-and-outs on their first four possessions of the game, and ACU catapulted to a 21-0 lead by the early parts of the second quarter.
Quarterback Stone Earle completed his first 13 passes and finished with 261 yards and four touchdowns through the air. The four scores tie his highest total as a Wildcat. Earle also threw four TD in the win over Austin Peay on Sept. 20.
Itty Henry caught two touchdown passes for the first time in his career, and J.J. Henry and Javon Gipson also hauled in scoring throws.
ACU rolled up 230 yards on the ground with three different players scoring: E.J. Wilson, Jr., receiver Grant Jones on an end-around, and Jordon Vaughn who had guards Kaden Carr and Landon Roaten blocking the way before he stiff-armed a defender and outran the defense on a 75-yard TD.
ACU's 52 points are the third most since Wildcat Stadium opened in 2017 and the most against an FCS opponent. The Wildcats defeated Arizona Christian 66-14 in 2019, and Louisiana College 62-7 in 2021.
The victory pushes ACU to a 9-1 record on their last ten UAC games.
