Wildcats unveil WAC schedule for 2024-25 season

ARLINGTON, Texas — The Western Athletic Conference (WAC) has officially released the conference schedule for all its men's basketball teams, which will take ACU across the country for 16 conference games.

The 2024-25 conference schedule features each of the nine basketball programs in the WAC competing in a double round-robin format of 16 league games, with WAC members set to play an even eight games at home and eight games on the road against conference opponents.

"We are thrilled to finally get our conference schedule," said head coach Brette Tanner. "Starting with three games on the road is tough but we get rewarded at the end with our last six games of the season being in the state of Texas.  This is looking like it could be one of the most competitive years in the WAC and we will need as many people as we can get in Moody for every one of our home games."

The Wildcats begin their conference season on the road on January 4 as they take on Utah Valley in Provo, Utah. That is the first of three straight games on the road for ACU, which will be followed by games against Seattle U in Seattle on January 11 and in Phoenix, Arizona, at Grand Canyon, last year's WAC Tournament champion, on January 16.

Following the opening three road conference games, the Wildcats will have three games at home in Moody Coliseum. The program's conference home opener will be on January 18 against California Baptist. The following week they play two in-state rivals. First will be Tarleton State on January 23 followed by UT Arlington on January 25.

To close out the month of January, The Wildcats head to Riverside, California, for their return trip against California Baptist on January 30. To start February, ACU will play two games in Utah with games against Utah Tech in St. George on February 6 and Southern Utah in Cedar City on February 8.

Next, the Wildcats return to Abilene for another three home games. The home stretch will begin with Seattle U coming to Abilene on February 13. The following week two Utah teams come to play in Moody Coliseum, first Southern Utah on February 20, then Utah Tech on February 22.

To finish out the conference slate on the road, the Wildcats will take on two in-state rivals. First, the Wildcats will take on I-20 rival Tarleton State in Stephenville on February 27, then they will play UT Arlington in Arlington on March 1.

To wrap up WAC play, the program will play its final two games of the regular season at home. Up first, the team will play the Utah Valley Wolverines on March 6. Then to close out the season, ACU will have a rematch against Grand Canyon on March 8.

Official start times and broadcast designations for all WAC regular-season conference basketball games will be determined at a later date.

All conference-controlled basketball broadcasts will air live on an ESPN platform as part of the WAC's media rights agreement with ESPN. Any basketball broadcasts from the conference portion of the schedule that are not aired on a linear network will be available on ESPN+.
