Walters Claims WAC Weekly Award

ABILENE – The Western Athletic Conference on Wednesday named Abilene Christian's Shiean Walters as Women's Track Athlete of the Week.
Shiean Walters, a graduate student from Coleman, won the 400 meters at the Wes Kittley Invitational with the top time in the WAC at 55.03. That mark also is 13th in the West Region and No. 28 in the NCAA.
"Shiean is continuing to put in the effort in practice and it is showing on the track," said ACU Interim Head Coach Nathan Meeuwenberg. "What is even more impressive is the type of person Shiean is. She balances a heavy graduate school load with practice as well as anybody."
