DENTON – Abilene Christian dropped a 7-1 decision at North Texas on Tuesday.
The Wildcats broke up the Mean Green shutout in the top of the sixth when
Kaydee Bennett singled and later scored on a two-out, bases-loaded walk by
Catrin Hoffman.
ACU ended the night with four hits, including two by
Olivia Marble and a single by
Riley White.
Lina Russo took the pitching loss.
Ella Beeman allowed two runs in her five innings of relief.
The Wildcats return to action this weekend, opening the WAC season at Utah Tech with two games on Friday and one on Saturday.
