ABILENE – Abilene Christian added record-setting Jack Hollingsed to the men's golf roster for the 2024-25 season.
Hollingsed is a first-team All-District 7-6A golfer at Lake Highlands High School, who set the RISD scoring record with a 63 at the Golf Club of Dallas. He won the TJGT Tyler Rose Invitational and the AAT Winter Finale. He also had three other top-five finishes.
"Signing Jack Hollingsed completes our highest-ranked freshmen class in the D1 era," said ACH Head Coach
Tom Shaw. "Jack will complement the earlier signing of West Texas standout Colin Leonard from San Angelo and gives us a one-two punch that should help our lineup immediately.
"Jack is an outstanding player and is one of the best players in Texas. He is also an excellent student and possesses strong leadership skills, which make him a natural fit at Abilene Christian, which values the complete student-athlete. We are excited to have Jack and his family join the Wildcat Golf Program!"
Hollingsed is the son of Candi Hollingsed and Paul Hollingsed and is a member of the National Honor Society with a 4.0 grade point average. A three-year varsity captain, Hollingsed attends Park Cities Baptist Church and volunteers with the Young Men's Service League.
"I love the Christian and spiritual community of ACU," Hollingsed said. "The school has a terrific reputation and is a friendly environment with very kind people."
