ABILENE - Abilene Christian men's golf's Grégoire Hoyeau and Jack Hollingsed earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors, the organization announced Tuesday. The student-athletes were recognized for their academic and athletic excellence.
Eligible student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically and hold at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average. Golfers must have been in the lineup for 75% of their school's team scoring events or have been in the lineup for the conference championship tournament. In 2024-25, less than 5% of student-athletes were named Academic All-District across all sports and divisions.
It marks the second year in a row that multiple Wildcats have landed on the Academic All-District team, with Hoyeau being honored in back-to-back seasons. Hollingsed received the accolade in his first year being eligible as a sophomore. Hoyeau was tabbed Academic All-Western Athletic Conference in each of his first three seasons, while Hollingsed earned the distinction as a freshman.
Hoyeau graduated in May with his Bachelor's degree in finance with a 3.67 GPA. He closed out a four-year career at ACU with All-WAC Second Team recognition for the second season in a row. Hoyeau paced the Wildcats with four top-10 performances, including the program's first individual title since 2021 at the Robert Kepler Invitational.
It was part of a strong finish to the season that featured three consecutive top-six performances for Hoyeau. He tied for sixth at the WAC Championship and at the Seattle U Redhawk Invitational. Hoyeau was ACU's top performer at the conference tournament, where it placed third for its best showing since 2022. He is a two-time Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar.
Hollingsed wrapped up his sophomore year studying management with a 3.59 GPA. He also engineered a strong close to the season, landing in the top 11 in three of his final four tournaments. The Dallas product tied for fourth at the Seattle U Redhawk Invitational as the Wildcats captured the title, then drew for 11th at the WAC Championship.
