Softball Heads to Sam Houston for Three

ABILENE – Abilene Christian heads to Huntsville this weekend for a three-game series at Sam Houston.

The series begins with a 4 p.m. doubleheader on Friday and concludes with a single game at noon on Saturday.

The Wildcats are 7-9 after taking three games from Texas A&M-Commerce on Sunday and Monday.

Kaydee Bennett leads the Cats with a .490 batting average through 16 games. She also is tied with Avery Miloch with three home runs. MIloch leads the Cats with 12 RBIs.

Olivia Marble (.388 BA), Sammie Shelanders (.326, 2 HR) and Bubba Rote (.344) have led the offense early. Bennett also is eight for eight in stolen base attempts.
