Sims Earns WAC Honor

ABILENE – The Western Athletic Conference on Wednesday named Abilene Christian's Ja'Dasia Sims its Women's Field Athlete of the Week.

Sims, a junior from Rosharon, produced an ACU top-10 mark with her leap of 5-9.75 (1.77 meters). She placed third in the event at Texas Tech's Jarvis Scott Open.

It is the first track and field award for ACU this season.
