ABILENE – Abilene Christian launches the home portion of its women's tennis season this weekend, hosting Dallas Baptist at 1 p.m. on Saturday and Texas-Permian Basin at 10 a.m. on Sunday.
The Wildcats are 0-3 this season after dropping a pair of matches at Air Force (5-2) and Colorado State (6-1).
Freshman
Libby Blair is coming off a 2-0 road trip to Colorado and has a 2-2 mark this spring.
Andrea Guerrero also is 2-2 in singles. Blair has an 11-5 singles mark this season, including fall tournaments. Guerrero has accounted for a team-high seven doubles wins this season.
This will be the spring opener for Dallas Baptist, which lost to ACU 7-0 in the last meeting back in 2022.
UTPB opens its season in Abilene on Saturday, taking on Hardin-Simmons and McMurry. ACU is 6-0 all-time in the series as a Division I school with six shutouts. The teams last met in 2021.
