ST CLOUD, Fla. – Abilene Christian's
Delaney Martin picked up her first win of 2024 at the Florida Winter Amateur last week. The event was held at the St. Cloud Golf Links in St. Cloud, Florida.
Martin started the event off strong with a two-under par score of 70 in round one which consisted of three birdies and just one bogey. Her efforts placed her in a tie for second after 18 holes.
Day two was even better for the senior from Boerne as she carded five birdies and two bogeys for a -3, 69 to move into first place heading into the final round.
After an early bogey on the final 18 Martin made back-to-back birdies and never gave up the lead as she fired a final-round 73 to take home the Florida Winter Amateur title.
In total Martin finished the event at 4-under par and tallied 11 birdies over three rounds.
The Wildcats look to start their 2024 WAC Championship run on February 5th in San Antonio at the Texas State Invitational.
