ACU Women’s Golf Adds Assistant Coach Jordan Burchette to Staff

ABILENE - Jordan Burchette has joined the Abilene Christian women's golf staff as an assistant coach, head coach Rob Bennett announced on Tuesday.

Burchette joins the Wildcats from Hardin-Simmons University, where she coached the school's men's and women's golf programs as a graduate assistant from 2021-23 and as an assistant coach from 2023-25. She also handled compliance and operations responsibilities.

"Coach Burchette brings multiple years of coaching experience and a track record of connecting with her players," Bennett said. "She has a determination and focus about her that I know will help our team continue to rise in national prominence. I am excited to have her on campus!"

Burchette guided the Cowgirls to six top-three performances last season, including their first team title since 2018 with a victory at the Marlins Invitational in Virginia Beach, Va. Hardin-Simmons recorded 12 top-three showings under Burchette's leadership in the past four years, including at the American Southwest Conference Championship in 2024.

Burchette saw the Cowgirls record the best round in program history at the 2023 Alamo City Classic as they fired a 302 in the first round. Nineteen Hardin-Simmons women's golfers earned Academic All-Conference honors over the past four seasons, while 12 received All-American Scholar accolades from the Women's Golf Coaches Association.

The Cowboys registered five top-three finishes in the past four years under Burchette, including at the 2025 ASC Championship. Thirty-three Hardin-Simmons men's golfers garnered Academic All-Conference distinction in the past four seasons, while seven were named All-American Scholars by the Golf Coaches Association of America.

Two Cowboys, Jonathon Hester and Anthony Browning, were recipients of the ASC Fred Jacoby Male Sportsmanship Athlete of the Year in 2022 and 2024, respectively.

The Killeen, Texas native was a four-year letterwinner for the Cowgirls from 2017-21 and competed in 25 tournaments with a pair of top-10 efforts. Burchette studied ministry and, in each of her final three seasons, was named both an All-American Scholar by the WGCA and an Academic All-Conference honoree. As a senior, Burchette was named the ASC Sportsmanship Athlete of the Year for women's golf.

The former Jordan Daggs is married to Tyler Burchette.
