Soccer Travels to Baylor on Sunday

ABILENE – Abilene Christian tests itself again on Sunday when the Wildcats battle Baylor in Waco at 7 p.m.
 
The Wildcats march in with a 4-1-1 record and five shutouts on the season. The single loss was at Texas Tech last Sunday.
 
After Sunday's match, the Wildcats have two more non-conference matches before diving into the WAC schedule.
 
ACU Storylines
 
MULTIS: Chayse Thorn has three multi-goal games this season, including a hat trick against Texas-Permian Basin. She had two goals each against Texas Southern and Nicholls. Taylor Denn also has a multi-goal game this season, recording a brace against UTPB.
 
SCORING: Six Wildcats have put the ball in the net this season, led by Chayse Thorn with seven goals. Taylor Denn has two. Jordan Michie, Georgia Guenther, Peyton Hill and Hannah Vetromile have one apiece. Thorn is tied for the WAC lead in goals, goals per game and points per game.
 
ASSISTS: Eight different Cats have one assist each this season. Jazilyn Torres, Lox Neves, Macie Stephens, Hannah Martin, McCarly Holloman, Taylor Denn, Chayse Thorn and Jordan Michie have had the assists this season.
 
THAT BACK LINE: With five shutouts the back row has been tremendous this season. Macie Stephens, McCarly Holloman and Georgia Guenther have been the primary starting defenders.
 
KEEPER: Lili Ross has started every game in goal for the Wildcats this season. She carries a 0.75 goals-allowed average and has 14 saves. She has one solo shutout and has been the starter for four others. Ross is second in the Western Athletic Conference save percentage (.824) and third in GAA (0.75).
 
HONOR ROLL: ACU has two WAC Defensive Player of the Week honors this season: McCarly Holloman and Macie Stephens. They were the first two WAC Defensive Player of the Week honorees in ACU's history.
