Tarleton Visits Women's Tennis on Saturday

ABILENE – Abilene Christian hosts Tarleton State at noon on Saturday with an opportunity to climb the ladder toward a postseason berth.
 
ACU comes in at 7-10 overall and 1-3 in the Western Athletic Conference after a narrow loss at Stephen F. Austin on Sunday.
 
The Wildcats have a 10-1 lead in the all-time series but the one loss was last season, 4-3, in Abilene. Andrea Guerrero and Paula Garrote had wins in the TSU match last season.
 
Olivia Sears leads ACU with eight singles wins, including seven at No. 3. The Cats are 8-6 on both fifth- and sixth-line singles. Maria Cascos has a 4-1 mark at No. 5 and Eva Arranz is 5-2 at No. 6.
 
Cascos and Maryjoe Crisologo have a team-leading five wins in doubles, all at No. 2.
 
Tarleton State is 11-5 overall and second in the WAC at 3-1 after sweeping Stephen F. Austin and Sam Houston last weekend.
 
Emma Person is 12-3, Clara Sobius is 11-4 And Elsa Boisson is 10-4 in singles for the Texans. Boisson and Martha Makantasi are 6-2 in doubles.
